How does LUMECCA tightens skin?
The heat from the Lumecca actively kills skin bacteria that leads to breakouts. This client received 1 Lumecca IPL treatment and noted decreased darkened pigmentation, smaller pores, tighter skin with decreased fine lines, and a great glowing complexion. The Lumecca is also known as a photofacial.
What should I expect?
A typical treatment over the entire face takes about 20 minutes. A layer of cooling gel is applied to the treatment area and the patient dons protective goggles. The hand piece is placed on the skin and the IPL is transmitted in controlled pulses. The sensation of each pulse is often compared to the snapping of a rubber band and is generally well tolerated without the use of any analgesia. The Inmode Lumecca has a unique sapphire tip that cools and soothes the skin area being treated with each pulse. Treated pigment spot areas may appear darker for several days, giving the appearance of freckling and a light sunburn.

How long would the results last?
The skin will continue to look younger and more brilliant over time with most visible results after 1-2 weeks. Having multiple photofacial sessions will improve the final result. For vascular treatments such as spider or leg veins, results can be seen in up to 2 weeks.
